Mary Marie Tourangeau

1943 – 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mary Tourangeau, AKA, Mrs. T., of Fort McKay, Alberta.

Mary passed away quickly and peacefully in Fort McMurray at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center, on July 9, 2022, at the age of 78.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Stuart (Shelley) Tourangeau and Russell Tourangeau; grandson, Robert (Tasha) Tourangeau; sister, Evelyn Boucher (Mason); daughter, Mavis Mercredi; grandchildren, Leah, Rusty, Tyler, Edward, Krystal, Chantel and Mandy; great-grandchildren, Feury, Elias, Roanin, Heaven-Leigh, Sylus, Anton, Cody, Kionna, Jaxon, Ryder, Emma, Dorene, Gracie, Robbie, Cooper, Rylee, Jack, Jalal (Neda), Nadia (Walid), Arlene (Mike), Saharrah and Eli; great-great-grandchildren, Zyanna, Kareem, Zakaria, Muhyiddin, Yahya, Mohamed, Omar and Moheiddine;  as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She is predeceased and will be met at Heaven’s gate by her parents, Alex and Alice Boucher; daughters, Doreen Tourangeau and Judy Tourangeau; siblings, Margaret Cooper, Freddie Boucher, Bertha Garnter and Marvin Boucher; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Wake will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2022, stating at 6:00 PM, through to 10:00 AM Thursday July 14, 2022, at the Fort McKay Band Hall.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM, at the Fort McKay Band Hall, with burial to follow at The Fort McKay Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to A Safe Haven for Adolescent Mothers (ASHFAM) at
