It is with heavy hearts and loving memories the family of Christopher Douglas Snow announce his tragic passing on January 6, 2022.
Chris was a rock of stability and source of strength for his whole family. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important. He was a hardworking man who lived selflessly for his family and those he loved. Chris had an amazing gift of knowing when someone needed him, you could always count on him to be there.
Chris was a big man with a big heart and many great loves in his life; his family, his friends, and his Goldwing. If Chris wasn’t working, eating, or sleeping he was in his man cave waxing his baby or chatting on the phone with his brother and best friend Joe. Chris had a passion for riding his motorcycle with his friends who were truly an extension of family to him. Great memories were made this past summer on their road trip through the Rocky Mountains that his wife and friends will remember and cherish forever. Chris had been working in Alberta since 1994. Though he enjoyed and appreciated that he got to “look out the window” for a living, his heart always remained home in Newfoundland where he was born and raised.
Chris was taken from us way to soon. Leaving to mourn this amazing man is his loving wife Renee (Hutchings), daughter Carly, sons Nicholas and Blake. His mother Joan, only brother Joe, sister-in-law Darlene, niece Megan (Stephen), great-nephew Hudson, parents-in-law Robert and Jeanette Hutchings, brother-in-law David (Kim), sisters-in-law Norma (Keith), Tina (Tom), Janice (Trevor) and 11 nieces and nephews. Countless number of family and friends. Predeceased by his father Raymond Snow.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of his father, Raymond, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McMurray Gospel Assembly, 10110 Main St, Fort McMurray, AB, on Friday January 14, 2022 at 2:00pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Lewisporte, NL. Details to follow.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the family. This is such a sad tragedy. May you all find the strength you need to get through this.
Chris was exactly as described and a rare being in place where everyone always could be complaining about what they felt they deserve or wanted or did not have. Chris always was a positive person and a rare gem. He brought a laugh or a joke to every conversation but always you felt his caring in his presence and you left just that much better for seeing and talking to him
Ii will and I know others will miss you man! You helped me look and refocus on the things that matter.
RIP Chris.Gone way too soon.
